Trustee and Patrons

As a registered charity, the Fund is run by a Trust consisting of:

  • David Edgar, who was Eve’s husband. He is Chair of the Trustees;
  • David Blower, a representative of Moseley and Kings Heath Labour Party, is Treasurer. David was formerly a Senior Manager at Joseph Chamberlain College;
  • David Esset, Engineering Manager and former Beneficiary;
  • Alastair Gibbons, formerly Senior Manager in Birmingham Children’s Trust, Birmingham City Council;
  • Deborah Shaw, Children’s lawyer and counsellor;
  • Philip Smith, Consultant and former Social Worker;
  • David Stringfellow, Birmingham Children’s Trust.

The Fund is supported by Sarah Barker from Birmingham Children's Trust’s 18+ Care Leavers Service.

The Fund’s patrons are Professor Ann Davis of the University of Birmingham, actor, director and writer Simon Callow CBE and Baroness Helena Kennedy KC.
